Teeling Whiskey continues to build on its international reputation as the leading Independent Irish whiskey by winning 8 gold medals in International Spirits Competitions during July. This brings to 116, the number of awards won by Teeling Whiskey over the last four years.
At the annual 2017 Irish Whiskey Masters, held in London and announced last week, Teeling Whiskey scooped the top honours, receiving in total 6 Gold Medals as well as a Masters Title for their premium Small Batch Teeling Whiskey. Consisting of hand selected casks of malt and grain that are blended then married in rum barrels, the Teeling Small Batch is the company’s flagship whiskey and is sold in over 50 countries worldwide. It is the fastest growing Irish whiskey in Ireland and it follows up Teeling Small Batch Blend taking home the ‘Best in Class’ award at the 2016 Irish Whiskey Awards.

On top of these wins at the Irish Whiskey Masters, Teeling Whiskey also won big at the 2017 International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC) and the International Spirits Competition (ISC) which took place earlier in the year, with the star of the show being the Teeling Single Malt which landed a Gold in both competitions to go with an overall haul of 24 medals won for the Teeling whiskey portfolio in 2017 so far.

Based in Newmarket, Dublin 8 the Teeling Whiskey Distillery opened its doors in June 2015 and heralded the revival of distilling in the City as the first new distillery in Dublin in over 125 years.
Over the last two years it has quickly established the distillery as one of the leading tourist destinations in Dublin and has recently announced a €500,000 expansion of the distillery to tap into growing interest in visiting the home of Teeling Whiskey and its whiskeys both domestically and internationally. Significant investment has been made over the last few years building its new distillery as well as laying down maturing whiskey stocks the first batch of which comes of age in 2018.
